The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions towards the community.

SASSA might be rendering providers like new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency stated it is actually alarmed with regards to the large variety of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The aim from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the large range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is often as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no totally functional office committed to service the area on a daily basis. The sassa status provider point developed for intervention activities a high influx of likely beneficiaries, which makes it tricky for your office to attend to all people who take a look at a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more assets to empower the servicing of all prospects and improve access to Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
